Additionally, please note that for certain conditions, it may be necessary to see an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist and undergo an endoscopy prior to scheduling an appointment with us.

Voice Therapy, guided by certified SPEAKOUT!  practitioners, targets vocal behavior modification and lifestyle adjustments for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. This intensive program aims to improve vocal clarity, volume, and overall speech quality.

 

Breathing Retraining Therapy focuses on enhancing respiratory efficiency through tailored exercises and techniques facilitated by our experienced SLPs. By addressing inefficient breathing patterns, individuals can improve their breath control and support for speech and daily activities.

 

Behavioral Cough Replacement Therapy offers a behavioral approach to managing chronic cough or neurogenic laryngeal hypersensitivity. Our SLPs work closely with clients to identify and address underlying triggers, shaping behaviors and environmental factors to reduce throat clearing and improve quality of life.

 

Singing and Public Speaking Coaching assists clients in refining vocal techniques for professional performances, whether it's delivering presentations or singing on stage. Our skilled instructors provide personalized guidance to enhance voice projection, articulation, and confidence in vocal expression.

 

Accent Modification empowers individuals to refine their speech patterns through dedicated practice and guidance. With our support, clients can effectively modify their accent, improving clarity and communication in various social and professional settings.

 

Swallow Therapy offers specialized interventions for individuals with swallowing impairments, aiming to optimize safety and efficiency during oral intake. Our holistic approach considers dietary preferences, caregiver input, and quality of life factors, tailoring treatment plans to minimize risk and maximize functional outcomes.

This is a program facilitated by an SLP targeting 1 or more of the following goals:

  • Safely support adequate nutrition and hydration and return to safe and efficient oral intake (including incorporating the patient's dietary preferences and consulting with family members/caregivers to ensure that the patient's daily living activities are being considered)
  • Determine the optimum feeding methods/technique to maximize swallowing safety and feeding efficiency
  • Minimize the risk of pulmonary complications
  • Reduce patient and caregiver burden while maximizing the patient's quality of life
  • Develop treatment plans to improve safety and efficiency of the swallow.
